About the Speaker: |
Mr. Nicholas Brown – Partner, Pinsent Masons MPillay LLP Nicholas (LLB & LLM (QUT), DipICArb, FCIArb, FSIA) is a Singapore-base multi-jurisdictional lawyer, and partner of Pinsent Masons MPillay LLP. Nicholas has served clients in connection with a diversity of infrastructure projects across many countries and involving numerous sectors, including oil and gas, energy and transportation. He advised and represented the successful party in one of the first cases to consider the role of the SCL Protocol in pending delay claims, culminating in the decision of Hon Reyes J (as he then was) in Leighton Contractors (Asia) Ltd v. Stelux Holdings Ltd [2004] HKCFI 804; HCCT 29/2004 (10 September 2004).

Mr. Anil Changaroth – Managing Director, ChangAroth Chambers LLC; Council Member, Society of Construction Law (Singapore) A Mediator, Arbitrator, Advocate and Solicitor of Singapore and Solicitor of England and Wales, Anil has worked with local firms, in-house and an international firm since 1995. His Chambers practices in the area of Appropriate Dispute Resolution primarily on commercial, civil, criminal & corporate matters with a focus on construction and infrastructure related mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation in the Singapore and the region. The past chairman of SCL(S) [2012 to 2014], Anil is currently the Honorary Legal Advisor to the Singapore Institute of Architects (and its Small and Medium Architectural Practices Committee) and the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers.
