About the Speaker:
Ms. Erin Miller Rankin – Partner & Head of Construction – Asia and the Middle East , Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP
Erin is a partner of the firm and in her role as Head of Construction for Asia and the Middle East, Erin advises owners, developers, general contractors, engineering firms and various sub-trades on all aspects of their projects including tendering, procurement strategies and contract documentation for major infrastructure and construction projects. Erin also regularly advises on resolving real-estate, engineering and construction-related disputes including the representation of clients in ad-hoc ICC, ADCCAC, LCIA, SIAC, KLRCA and DIAC arbitration proceedings. Erin is admitted as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and sits as an arbitrator on projects-related disputes
Ms. Sarah-Jane Fick – Associate, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP
Sarah-Jane is an associate in the International Arbitration Group, focussing on construction disputes in South East Asia and MENA. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Sarah-Jane worked for an international firm across offices in London, Abu Dhabi and Singapore. Sarah-Jane focuses her practice on construction, engineering and mining disputes. She has advised and represented clients in international arbitrations under many of the major arbitration rules including ICC, DIAC, ADCCAC and SIAC. Sarah-Jane regularly advises on transactional and contentious aspects of major infrastructure and construction projects. Sarah-Jane is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London, and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.

Mr. Alex Wong – Chairman, Society of Construction Law (Singapore); Partner, Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee, Singapore
Alex is a Partner in Hogan Lovells Singapore office and a member of the Infrastructure, Energy, Resources and Projects practice. Respected by clients and recognized as a leading lawyer by independent industry publications such as Asia Pacific Legal 500 and IFLR1000, Alex has more than 18 years of experience advising on construction, infrastructure, energy and natural resources, PPP and government procurement projects in Singapore and across Asia. Alex speaks and writes regularly on a wide variety of infrastructure law related topics, including a chapter to a book endorsed by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore titled “Water Governance – An Evaluation of Alternative Architectures”.
Alex is the Chairman of the Society of Construction Law in Singapore. He is also an adjunct professor for law of project finance at Singapore Management University. He is admitted to practice in Singapore and England and Wales.
