About this Webinar:

Infrastructure Asia is Singapore’s infrastructure office that was set up in 2018 by Enterprise Singapore and Monetary Authority of Singapore to contribute to the region’s infrastructure agenda. In the past 18 months, Infrastructure Asia has been connecting the supply and demand for regional infrastructure, providing high-level structuring recommendations and uplifting the regional governments’ capacities to develop more projects that would appeal to the international private sector.

Through this fireside chat, Infrastructure Asia’s Executive Director, Seth Tan, will provide insights into:

the opportunities and challenges in the regional infrastructure space,
initiatives undertaken by Infrastructure Asia to accelerate the development of infrastructure projects in the region, and
how Singapore-based professional services providers can be involved in the early stages of infrastructure project development.

About the Speakers:
Mr. Seth Tan - Executive Director, Infrastructure Asia

Seth is the Executive Director of Infrastructure Asia, which is a project facilitation office under the Singapore government. Set up by Enterprise Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the office aims to harness the network and collective capabilities of public sector agencies and private sector firms, and partner stakeholders across the region to meet Asia’s infrastructure needs. Prior to his role as head of the Infrastructure Asia office, he has helmed leadership roles in DBS Bank, BNP Paribas, Standard Bank, and Babcock & Brown, and was based overseas in China, Australia, Hong Kong. Over his 24 years involvement in the infrastructure sector, he has worked on various opportunities across various infrastructure sub-segments.

About the Chairperson:
Mr. Adrian Wong Partner - Partner, CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang (Singapore) LLP; Council Member, Society of Construction Law (Singapore)

Adrian is a seasoned energy, infrastructure and construction lawyer. He is qualified in both English and Singapore law. Adrian has provided comprehensive and integrated advice on all aspects of energy and infrastructure project development as well as in relation to acquisitions and disposals. These range advising equity sponsors investing into projects, government authorities granting project concessions; lenders providing project financing (and other forms of financing) to projects, EPC contractors, feedstock and utilities suppliers and potential offtakers and O&M service providers. His previous role as an in-house legal counsel for a multi-national energy company, gives him a particular depth of insight into the energy sector as well as a clear understanding of the business needs of clients. Adrian has particular in depth understanding and practical experience across Asia, having supported clients on projects in Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Mongolia.
